Perception vs. Reality Data Visualization

Data visualization poster combining national racial perceptions of equality and St. Louis demographic data. I was intrigued by how perceptual data showed whites consistency perceived themselves as treated just as fair as blacks, while demographical data showed them with a higher advantage in every major category (ex. education, income, employment). With a huge population divide in St. Louis City vs. St. Louis County, I concluded that the perception resulted from selection bias. The poster's goal is to visualize perception and reality on the same axis, with population anchoring the two, walking viewers through this selection bias.
